Met Oval has debuted its new “Mind Gym,” a virtual reality based cognition training system by Beyond Sports. It is the first installation of its kind in the country. Click here for video.
The Beyond Sports system takes tracking data from real professional games and renders it as immersive virtual environments where players can experience the action from any tactical vantage point including the first person point of view of every player. The Beyond Sports system is currently being used by national teams including the World Cup holders Germany and Holland as well as elite professional clubs from around the world including Arsenal, Ajax, PSV, AZ Alkmaar and many others.
Met Oval players will discuss strategies and tactics with coaches in a custom curriculum designed to engage and accelerate a player’s cognitive development and apply their knowledge directly onto the field of play.
